Brooke Jarvis recognised for contribution to United Nations’ Male Allyship Toolkit

Transformative Culture Consultancy (“TCC”) is proud to announce that Director and Co-Founder, Brooke Jarvis, has been acknowledged by the United Nations for her significant contributions to the development of the HeForShe 2024 Male Allyship Toolkit.

The Toolkit aims to empower men as active allies in the pursuit of gender equality, offering practical tools and strategies for promoting inclusivity across workplaces, communities, and institutions. Brooke was instrumental in shaping the Toolkit’s approach, emphasising the need for authentic male engagement in gender equity efforts.

“I am deeply honoured to contribute to such an important global initiative,” said Brooke, who is one of two HeForShe National Programme Managers for UK Policing. “Male allyship is essential in creating lasting change, and this toolkit provides the resources and frameworks to help men understand and actively support gender equality. It’s about moving from awareness to action, and I’m proud to be part of that journey.”

Brooke’s work with HeForShe supports on Transformative Culture Consultancy’s ongoing mission to support employers in fostering inclusive environments that prioritise equity and safety. Her recognition by the United Nations reflects her commitment to creating meaningful cultural shifts through education and advocacy.

Brooke said male allyship should be a fundamental consideration for employers in their efforts to comply with the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Bill, which comes into effect in the UK on 26 October 2024.

“Proactive and meaningful efforts to prevent sexual harassment require a multi-faceted approach. Education on gender equality, male allyship, and active bystander intervention are integral to help staff recognise, prevent, and respond to sexual harassment both in and out of the workplace. This well-rounded approach is just one reason why TCC training is so effective,” she said.
